Corner House Residence – Terms & Conditions

CHILD POLICY

Children aged 0–2 years stay free when sharing existing bedding or using a cot.
Children aged 3–12 years sharing with parents will be charged an additional bed rate of R700 per night (B&B).
Children aged 13 years and older are considered adults and will be charged the full adult rate.
PAYMENT POLICY

Reservations are confirmed upon receipt of payment. Provisional bookings will be held for 48 hours, after which they may be released should payment not be received within this time.
Guests are responsible for any losses, damages, or breakages to the Guest House or apartment, its inventory, or furnishings.
·        Any extension of stay is strictly subject to availability at the time of the request. Guests are encouraged to notify the Guest House as early as possible of any intended extension.
CANCELLATION POLICY

All cancellations or amendments must be submitted in writing via email.
Cancellations or amendments made more than 31 days prior to arrival will be free of charge, excluding any banking fees.
Cancellations or amendments made within 30 days of arrival will incur a 100% cancellation fee.
No-shows will be charged in full (100% cancellation fee).
Last-minute amendments to bookings will be treated as cancellations and will incur a 100% cancellation fee.
PEAK PERIOD BOOKINGS

Peak periods are defined as: 16 December to 31 March (inclusive) and Easter (from Good Friday to Easter Monday, inclusive, each year).
 All bookings made for peak periods are strictly non-refundable. No cancellations, amendments, or date changes will be permitted once a peak period booking is confirmed, regardless of the notice given.
GROUP BOOKINGS — PAYMENT & CANCELLATION TERMS

A group booking is defined as a reservation of three (3) or more rooms.
Full payment is required to confirm and secure a group booking. No group booking will be considered confirmed until full payment has been received.
Cancellations must be submitted in writing to [email protected] no later than 30 days prior to the arrival date.
Cancellations received fewer than 30 days before the arrival date will incur a cancellation fee of 100% of the total booking cost. No refunds will be issued.
All cancellations are effective only upon written confirmation from the Guest House.

STANDARD TERMS & CONDITIONS

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

All rates are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and include 15% VAT.

The Corner House reserves the right to amend rates in the event of changes to VAT, taxes, levies, or currency fluctuations.

All tariffs are net and non-commissionable.

Rack rates are provided as a guideline only and are subject to change.

This document constitutes a legally binding agreement upon acceptance.
GENERAL INFORMATION

Standard check-in time is 14h00 and check-out time is 11h00.
A valid photo ID and credit card are required at check-in.
Cancellations are accepted up to 30 days prior to arrival; thereafter, full payment will be retained.
Smoking (including electronic cigarettes and vaping devices) is strictly prohibited inside all apartments and common indoor areas. A fine of R1,500.00 per occurrence will be levied and charged to the Guest's account.
